Now in private beta
An AI that tells you the truth about your money.
Portia is a personal CFO who connects to your accounts, remembers every conversation, and gets sharper the longer you use her. The opposite of every chatbot you've talked to.
Free during beta. Subscription pricing announced at launch.
I. What it feels like
What it actually feels like.
Four real conversations. Portia uses your data (bank balances, transactions, goals, what you've told her) and answers like someone who knows you.
FRIDAY, 8:47 PM
Conversation I. The Diagnostic
What do I spend most on?
Groceries, on paper. $1,400/month, mostly Whole Foods.
But the pattern is more interesting than the number. You do a $90+ run every Friday when you're stressed from work, then order Uber Eats Sunday because you're too tired to cook the food you bought.
That's $200-300/month in produce you don't eat.
TUESDAY, 2:14 PM
Conversation II. Memory
Thinking about a vacation.
Tokyo for the food trip you mentioned in March, or somewhere new?
SATURDAY, 11:09 AM
Conversation III. Truth Over Comfort
Should I buy these Gucci shoes?
Technically yes. Net liquid is $50K, bills are covered, the math isn't close.
But you've spent $13,300 this year on clothes, you say you want to move to Miami, and you have $0 saved toward it.
The shoes aren't the problem. The shoes are the symptom.
SUNDAY, 9:33 PM
Conversation IV. The Line
I have a goal to save $10K for Miami.
Going on six months. You've saved $0 toward it.
That's not a goal. That's a wish.
Want to make it real?
II. How it works
How it works.
Connect your bank.
Securely, via Plaid. Same way your other financial apps do it. Takes two minutes.
Have a conversation.
Through Telegram. Ask anything. She'll tell you what's actually going on.
She remembers everything.
Six months in, Portia knows your money better than your accountant does. The longer you use her, the sharper she gets.
III. Why it's different
Different category. On purpose.
Most finance apps show you charts. Portia tells you what they mean.
Most AI assistants reset every conversation. Portia remembers what you said six months ago and brings it up when it matters.
Most financial advisors are paid to hedge. Portia has an opinion and uses it.
IV. The founder
Why this exists.
I'm Adam. I built Portia because every finance app I tried showed me data without telling me what to do with it, and every AI I talked to gave me corporate hedging instead of advice.
I wanted something that knew my money the way a CFO would, told me the truth the way a friend would, and remembered everything the way no one ever has.
So I built her.

V. Questions
Questions you'll have.
How much does it cost?
Free during private beta. Subscription pricing will be announced at launch. We'll tell you well before you'd ever be charged.
Is my financial data safe?
Your bank credentials never touch our servers. Plaid handles that, the same way Venmo, Robinhood, and Mint do. Access tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, separately from the data they unlock. You can delete everything you've ever shared with one command.
Is Portia a financial advisor?
No. Portia provides general financial information and observations based on your data (educational, not regulated investment advice). For specific stock picks, tax filing, legal questions, or insurance product selection, see a licensed professional. The full disclosure is in our Terms of Service.
Who is Portia for?
People in their twenties and thirties who make decent money, want to do something specific with it, and are tired of finance tools that show data without making the call.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Send /delete_my_data to Portia in Telegram. Everything you've ever shared deletes immediately.
